The Yes Beehive is a web service that stimulates short distribution circuits. The online sales platform favors direct exchange between local producers and consumer communities that meet regularly to create an ephemeral market.

This adventure whose objective is to make available to consumers and producers the power of the internet and social networks to develop a new form of food supply began in 2010 and the first beehive market took place in September 2011 in Toulouse, France. Currently, there are beehives in France, Belgium, Germany, UK, and Spain.

Since the beginning of 2013, The beehive that says Si is integrated into the Ashoka network and in the summer of the same year won the grand prize for innovation in the category of private services, in the first edition of the Ouishare Fest.

How does it work?

If the producer reaches the minimum number of orders, everything will be fine. to make the delivery. The day before the delivery of the order each member will receive the complete list of products to be delivered and the amount to be charged once he has collected the products.

An individual, an association or a company decides to open a beehive in a cafeteria, a theatre, a school, a cultural center a garden or a barn. They would be responsible for the beehive.

They get in touch with producers of fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese and other dairy products, bread, wine or honey, located within a radius of 250 kilometers. At the same time, they incorporate members interested in purchasing local products.

A few producers have already registered and there are about 50 members waiting for the first offers? The adventure begins.
Every week the person in charge publishes on the website a selection of farm products for the members of his beehive. Previously the producer will have freely fixed the price he considers fair for his products and the minimum orders necessary to make a delivery.

Consumers have six days to place an order on the website. It’s very easy: all they have to do is click on the products they want. There is no need to subscribe and no obligation to place orders: members have the option to decide whether they want to place an order that week or not.
Once the orders are complete there are two options:

If the producer reaches the minimum number of orders, everything is fine.
If the producer does not reach the minimum number of orders he needed, he will not come to make the delivery. The day before the delivery of the order each member will receive the complete list of products to be supplied and the amount to be charged once he has collected the products.
